Here is a very interesting piece of data that comes from the Zoosk dating site. This indicates that when the keyword “dishonest” in French dishonest had more than 153% of messages. The word “weak” weak in French 108% more messages. Casual only having 11% more messages and let’s not talk about pretty or cute which only collect 3% more messages.
What can we say about these statistics? And although by being negative the people opposite are attracted by their honesty.
eHarmony says use distinctive words
A study carried out by eHarmony England revealed that using words describing distinctive traits helped increase your message rate. Women who added “Physically fit” to their profile had 22% more messages, but much more among men who with these same keywords collected more than 66% more messages. “Sweet”, +46% among women, “Ambitious”, +64% among men and finally “Funny” 21% for women and 34% for men.
OkCupid says not to mention your physical features in messages
People who describe themselves physically in messaging would have less response than those who are more “general”. The person who says less has a response rate equivalent to 32/40%, while a person who brags about their measurements would only receive 17 to 32% of responses.
Be very specific in describing your hobbies
OkCupid also insists on detailing your tastes. You like watching The Walking Dead and are a fan of zombies, you love tattoos or are a fan of medieval role-playing games, say it, you will have a much better chance of attracting people who share your hobbies. Make sure to include all of this in your profile and, if applicable, share it in your messages.
